/** One thing I hope sharing thoughts does (for myself but others as well) is practicing being unnecessarily and overly thoughtful, primarily because I’m looking for something.
Something that will change or shift my perspective that is truly discovered internally.
In a way it is analysis of mundane or simple thoughts/observations, but I think looking at simple things ten different ways can be a fruitful exercise.
Thinking about what makes a job satisfying, or what makes a friend a true friend, or how do you quantify/qualify advice that which makes us actually change vs. advice that we don’t internalize or care about, or thinking about what are my strengths and weaknesses at a deeper level.
Example: It’s easy to think of a strength of “oh I can play an instrument” or “oh I can run really fast” but more deeply, it could be something like “oh I have a strong intuition on what makes the best design choice in a situation. I am always certain for A/B design tests which one is best” or “I have the ability to gain people’s trust very easily” or conversely… “I have this chronic problem of not accepting feedback or advice no matter who tells me so I’m bound to fall on my face endlessly” or “I have poor judgement”
Not saying these apply to me in particular…more of an illustration of what I’m aiming for.
If someone reads this and has similar thoughts about their own observations or experiences…and wants to go write and explore, all the better.
I think these thoughts can also be good topics of discussion as well, providing more rabbit holes to go into:
Anyways…
tl;dr dissecting and exploring that which is simple…or looking at something ten different ways…I believe is a good exercise.
Cheers,
Vish
