My favorite example is instead of filling up glasses of water multiple times a day, I fill 2-3 water bottles (~20oz) so water is always easily accessible/mobile.
*I don’t think this is due to a lack of discipline because unlike exercising or eating a healthy diet, I have found ideas for writing are more spontaneous and random. If I was writing a book or becoming a professional writer, I would think…
“Oh, I need to write at least 1 hour a day, for consistency and practice and development”*
This is fine, but I’d personally enjoy reading/consuming content that is less frequent & higher quality.
No doubt there are creators who are able to put out consistently high-quality content, but I’d imagine that would be a bigger time draw.
tl;dr Tried this writing thing a few times before, didn’t work, trying it again, now with less friction in the “idea —> writing —> uploading timeline”. Thanks Notion.
